March has been unlike any other month, ever. I want to create a separate entry about my feelings towards the current global situation, but for now, let’s talk about something more lighthearted. The five products above help me feel as normal as possible during this wild time.
1. This Works Deep Sleep Pillow Spray
I received a sample of this spray in a subscription box and will for sure be purchasing it in the full size. I think it’s easy to worry about everything going on in the world late at night, so this spray helps me stay calm and collected before I fall asleep. It’s the perfect spa-like scent, and getting in my bed at night has never been more relaxing.
2. Maison Francis Kurkdjian Perfume
Let’s be honest; we’re probably all feeling locked up in our houses right now. I feel like we have to create a new normal for the time being. I know perfume is expensive (which is why I have the travel size in this scent), but just a small spritz of this product every day or so allows me to feel refreshed! It smells fresh and luxurious with a hint of must.
Warning- if you’re really into beauty and makeup, you’re probably going to laugh at my next sentence. I never realized the importance of face primer until like two months ago. I’ve always been insecure about my pores and breakout-prone skin, so using this product as a base helps my face look and feel smooth as well as conceal redness. Not only does this primer protect my pores, but it also feels light and creamy. I kept forgetting to apply it around the time I purchased it, but after this month, I consider it essential to my makeup routine.
This foundation is a win-win. The light-weight foundation, combined with SPF, is the solution for those of you who don’t like it when your makeup feels cakey. It has about medium coverage, creates an even skin tone, and gives you a no-makeup look. Whenever I didn’t take my makeup off before exercising, I felt okay because it was so light!
I’ve used toners from Fresh, Clinique, and Mario Badescu before, but nothing has quite compared to this one. I’m not familiar with this brand, but my mom gave the product to me because she wasn’t using it. I was amazed when I applied it to my face; it almost felt cold on my skin (which I love) and felt like it removed any dirt or bacteria from my face. Since I started using it, my skin (a mixture of dry and oily) has cleared up! I don’t know if it’s because of this product, but I feel like it has something to do with it.
