Those of you who know me well know I LOVE organizing. From finding efficient ways to store my Bath and Body Works lotions in sixth grade to discovering the perfect hangers at Bed, Bath, and Beyond in twelfth grade, I never get sick of tidying up. When I sort things well physically, I feel like I can focus better mentally. Overall, I love when everything has a place in my space!
I’m SO sad that I don’t have “before” photos of Anna’s closet. Side note, why do we always remember to take those after everything is clean?! Anyway, when I showed Anna my closet organization (post of my space coming soon), she told me she wanted to revive her closet. This project took us about two days, and Anna and I are super happy with the results. Please keep reading to find out some of my favorite organizing tips!
Facing one shoe outwards and the other inwards not only shows off the front and back of the product but also creates extra room on your shoe shelf.
To the left of the shoe shelf, we hung tank tops and t-shirts. Click here to check out my favorite hangers; I love them because they have grips on them, so your clothes will never slip off!
Located below the tank tops and t-shirts is this shoe shelf from Elfa. The top shelf stores Anna’s lesser-worn shoes, and the bottom two shelves have clear bins from Target, which hold her dance costumes.
To the right of the shoe shelf are these bins, and I can’t rave about them enough. I love the khaki color (but I could only find the Rosewater ones online), and the chrome handles because they match the chrome clothing racks. Also, we used a large hook to hang Anna’s belts. Vertical storage like this is great when you’re working with a small space, and it’s also perfect in this case because Anna can easily see her cute belts!
Thanks for reading! I hope this inspired you to organize your space. Stay tuned for more organizational posts!
Until next time,
Lindi
