Restaurants, post offices, and gift shops were quiet. Faint sounds of pop music played from some doorways and classic Italian accordion from others.
Crisp air lingered throughout alleyways, and coffee-scented wind drifted out of cafes. Tiny spoons chimed against macchiato mugs after stirring espresso and milk.
Pastel structures and sky covered the city. Cobblestone pathways led us from one location to the next.
